speakHers is a curated directory of women speakers in tech, operated from Tallinn, Estonia. We are the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question, write to hello@speakhers.tech.

Speakers: name, role, company, company stage, location, availability, topics, speaking formats, a short description, and optionally an email address, links (LinkedIn, talk video), a photo, and experience details you choose to provide.

Organisers: name, email, organisation and event details you provide when signing up or contacting a speaker.

Automatically: basic technical data needed to run and secure the service, such as log and session data.

To review and publish speaker profiles, to let organisers search the directory, to pass enquiries between organisers and speakers, and to send service emails such as invitations and enquiry notifications.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Approved speaker profiles are visible to signed-in organisers and can be shared by direct link. Email addresses and private contact details are never shown publicly. Contact always runs through the platform.

Organisers may leave feedback after an event. Individual comments, ratings and the name of whoever left them are visible only to speakHers administrators. Other organisers, and the speaker herself, see only an aggregate — how many people gave feedback, and how many would invite her again. Nobody outside the speakHers team sees who said what.

We use service providers to host the application and database and to send transactional email. They process data on our instructions only.

We keep profile data for as long as the profile is listed or the account exists. Ask us to delete it and we will, except where we must keep records for legal reasons.

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Most profile data can be edited directly in your account. For anything else, email us and we will respond within one month.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
